Laider Follows Charles
13 May 2008
After yesterday news that Michael Charles has left to re-join Farnborough, the news has broken that Steve Laidler has chosen to join him & ex boss Francis Vines at Farnborough.

Speaking soon after signing Laidler said “I am excited at the prospect of returning to Farnborough, the ground is unrecognisable from 12 months ago, and having spoken to the Chairman (Simon Hollis) and Francis it is evident that there is a real ambition in and around the club, and I look forward to enjoying future successes”

Farnborough have a proven Conference South midfielder here and they are showing they mean business although I suspect these deals were done some time ago.

Charles Returns Home
12 May 2008
Michael Charles has returned to Farnborough on a two year deal, ex 'Stoke boss Francis Vines made Charles his 1st summer signing on his 1st day in charge.

Charles finished top joint scorer along with Scott Fitzgerald scoring 12 goals in his 37 starts for 'Stoke

Charles spoke soon after signing saying" I am excited at the prospect of returning to Cherrywood Road, and playing for the new Farnborough, everyone knows that I am a lifelong Farnborough fan, and I am delighted to have seen how the club has progressed in its first year, after the Town days."

Although this is a blow to Frank Gray it is not suprising as Charles is a Farnborough fan and hasn't looked happy at Basingstoke for some time. All the best Charlsey

The Unofficial site in conjunction with the fanzine Terrace Blues is back, there are plans to make it much more a fans read rather than just a news service.

The prediction league will be back along with an away travel guide, The fanzine will have a section of it's own and exclusive content online. The 1st team & Supporters will have their own stats area much like last time.

Will update as we progress, the links that are working are finished but we still have a fair few to finish off in the coming weeks

'Stoke Bring Trophy Home
12 May 2008
Town have secured their first trophy since 1997 with a 1-0 win over Hampshire rivals Farnborough in the Hants Senior Cup, 'Stoke won thanks to a James Taylor tap in after their keeper spilled a Scott Fitzgerald strike.

The game was watched by the new manager Frank Gray as well as over five hundred 'Stoke fans who made the trip up to Dean Court to wittness the victory which is nothing but the players and fans deserve after a year of problems off the pitch.
