Havant & Waterlooville preview
26 Aug 2009
On Saturday, Basingstoke travel to south Hampshire to face Havant & Waterlooville.

Town supporters will travel knowing that 'Stokes record at Westleigh Park since the formation of the Conference South in 2004 is appalling. In five trips to Havant, Town have registered just one point and conceded an average of over three goals per game. The Hawks have also started the season brightly, with eleven points which sees them sit two places above Basingstoke in second on goal difference.

Basingstoke go into the match with no fresh injury worries, Matt Warner and Adam Aimable are both still out with knee and ankle injuries respectively. Town will be boosted by the news that Joe Dolan is free to play again after serving his one game suspension, whilst Sean Hankin should be fit after coming off injured against Maidenhead. Gary Frewen could make his full debut after impressing as a sub on Saturday.

'Stokes biggest threat will be through Manny Williams. The former Weston, Woking and Maidenhead striker has already scored seven goals this season including a brace away at Braintree last weekend. Havant's goalkeeper is also Aaron Howe, son of former Town boss Ernie.

Sky Bet has Havant as favourites for the match at 8/13 on, whilst 'Stoke are priced at 7/2. The draw is available at 13/5.
